Living at Glover's Trust

What's on offer

Living in one of our self-contained cottages you will benefit from a scheme manager on site each weekday and an emergency alarm service at all times. There is also no need to worry about maintenance and repairs as we take care of those.

It’s a friendly place too. Sometimes you may want to be on your own and at other times you may want to be sociable. There is a residents’ lounge which is used for weekly coffee mornings for residents, with the chance to also chat to a visiting trustee. And to promote a sense of community, our scheme manager can help arrange other social activities and group trips out.

Services Provided

Residents pay a weekly maintenance contribution to live at Glover’s. This is similar to rent but different in law, and less than a commercial rate. It is payable monthly in advance. You may be entitled to help towards paying it through Housing Benefit.

The contribution includes the cost of facilities and services such as the emergency alarm. It also includes:

  • Maintenance of the inside and outside of the property
  • Buildings insurance
  • Garden maintenance
  • Water charges

The weekly maintenance contribution does not cover the following, which residents are responsible for paying for separately.

  • Council Tax
  • Television licence
  • Electricity and gas energy use
  • Telephone charges
  • Home contents insurance

These single-occupancy cottages are suitable for one person.

The charge (called a weekly maintenance contribution) is £141 per week.
